The whole personal project journey was quite interesting and different from anything I have ever done before. Due to criterion A and B, my knowledge was greatly extended on psychology and book writing. Prior to this project I lacked major skills in order to complete this story successfully. I lacked writing skills, communication skills, literacy skills, creative thinking skills, etc. Which were all crucial to the project. Fortunately this project offered me plenty of time to work on these and do my research on them. I improved these by watching videos with plenty of insight about these skills and practiced by writing drafts using IB learner profiles such as inquirer, reflective and knowledgeable. While also staying balanced with my day to day life.
Sadly, I couldn't get a physical copy of the book due to covid restrictions, which made it difficult to present my end product properly to people and Grammarly hadn't detected some spelling errors.
When looking back at my original idea for the short story and comparing it with the end result, some things have slightly changed, but I believe it's for the better. An example is my writing style. I had planned to write with more scientific background surrounding it, and it is shown in the beginning of chapter one, but I quickly came to realize it wasn't as captivating, entertaining, and understandable in comparison to easy speech with intricate thoughts. someone will mental health wouldn't know the scientific reasoning as to why they are the way they are and therefore I found it to be realistic and wrote in a more relatable way. This also caused the audience to sympathize and understand the characters more.
